What Airport do I fly into?

The trip will start in Monterrey, Mexico and end in the Yucatan Region. You can fly into Monterrey International Airport (MTY) and you can depart on either of the 2 airports that are in the Yucatan depending on your preference (Cancun CUN, or Merida MID). 

The trip will start on May 17th in Monterrey, Mexico and end on May 25th in the Yucatan. 

Group Airport pick ups will be provided from Monterrey Airport and we can help you arrange your airport drop off.

What will be the weather in Mexico?

We will be traveling to Mexico in the dry Spring season. The most favorable time with temperatures in the high 70s and 80s. When we are in the mountains in Monterrey it can get a bit chilly in the evenings so plan for temperatures to drop to high 60s. 

At what fitness level do I need to be to join this experience? 

The fitness level of this trip is considered moderate. Our activities will consist of open level yoga practices daily, hiking, and ritual Mayan Dancing, and sightseeing to Wonder of the World, Chichen-Itza. All activities are optional and can be taken at your own pace. 

What ceremonies will we be participating in? 

Throughout the experience we will be led through a traditional Temazcal (sweat lodge) Experience as well as a Cacao Ceremony. 

-The temazcal is a traditional Mexican Sweatlodge. Since ancient times, a temazcal ceremony is considered to be a healing and purification ceremony that cleanses the mind, body, and spirit.

-The Ancient Mayans and Aztecs used Cacao for Spiritual and Ceremonial. Cacao is considered to be the best creativity enhancer as well as facilitator of deep inner work.

The ceremonies will be guided by an experienced Shamans and Medicine Men who WTA have worked with extensively. 

Do I need travel insurance?

Although not required, we strongly suggest that you purchase travel insurance for all WTA Experiences to cover you in case of any sickness, injuries or travel related delays.
