The Quiet Body-An Introduction to Yin Yoga
September 20 & 21, 2025
Floresta Encantada, Sintra
The Quiet Body is a 15-hour foundational training designed for both yoga practitioners and teachers interested in exploring the principles and practice of Yin Yoga. Over the course of two days, participants will be introduced to the 20 foundational Yin postures, functional anatomy and teaching methodology, and the use of Yin as a tool for accessing deeper layers of experience—physical, emotional, and energetic.
This course provides a clear, intelligent approach to practicing and guiding Yin Yoga. You’ll learn how to adapt postures for different body types, and be introduced functional anatomy and teaching perspective, Meridian Theory and Five Element wisdom. Through stillness, meditation, and inquiry, you’ll begin to understand Yin as not just a style of yoga, but a pathway toward inner awareness and integration.
This course is ideal for:
Yoga teachers seeking to integrate Yin into their teaching repertoire with a functional, theory-informed foundation
Anyone interested in understanding how Yin supports physical, emotional, and energetic balance
Teachers of other modalities (meditation, movement, bodywork) who wish to expand their understanding of the subtle body
Students on a personal path of self-inquiry and embodiment
Those curious about the relationship between energy (qi), fascia, and the meridian system
Individuals exploring how stillness-based practices influence the nervous system, vitality, and inner awareness
The Qiuet Body is a 15hr Yoga Teacher Training Course Accredited through Yoga Alliance & Marina De Lima Yoga School. Teachers can apply these hours toward their 300hr Teacher Training Completion, or receive Continuing Education Hours.
